Villa Fedora park

Omaggio al sole‘, a concert proposal on the beach of Villa Fedora at sunrise with the violinist Silvia Arfacchia.

Participants are invited to bring their own blanket to lay on the sand.

The solo violin programme alternates between pieces from the classical and more modern repertoire.

Admission is free offer in support of the activities proposed by the review “La pietra racconta 2024”, realised in collaboration with the City of Baveno, the Municipality of Mergozzo and GAM with the support of Fondazione Comunitaria VCO.

In the case of bad weather the event will be postponed to Sunday 28th July.

The artist
Silvia Arfacchia was born in Domodossola in 1988. She began studying the violin with Matis Manuela and Orio Elio, then continued with Monego Francesca
at the ‘G. Cantelli’ Conservatory of Music in Novara, graduating with Maestro Moscatelli Silvio at the ‘G. Verdi’ Conservatory of Music in Milan in October 2012.
In recent years she has studied with Walter Zagato, first violin of the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. In the course of her studies, she attended several solo master courses with maestros Luca Braga and Serena Canino; chamber music courses with maestros Francesco Manara and Danilo Rossi of the Scala String Quartet in Milan, with Lama Filippo, Pecelli Andrea, Serazzi Christian, Bernardi Amerigo in the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Domodossola; and symphonic courses with Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli in the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the VCO. Over the years, she has collaborated with various orchestras such as the Cameristi della Scala, the Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Orchestra Carlo Coccia, the Orchestra Bergamo Musica Festival, 15Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, the Orchestra del
Conservatorio di musica ‘G. Verdi’ in Milan, the Orchestra del Conservatorio di musica ‘G.Cantelli’ in Novara, the Orchestra Sinfonica Giovanile del VCO, the Orchestra da Camera Giovanile di Domodossola, under the direction of important conductors such as David Coleman, Jurij Chatuevič Temirkanov, Susanna Malkki, Lorenzo Viotti, Marc Albrecht, Aldo Ceccato, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Daniele Giorgi.
She has given concerts in numerous theatres and concert halls in Italy and abroad: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Teatro dell’Opera in Busseto, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Donizzetti in Bergamo, Teatro Coccia in Novara, Teatro dell’Opera Giocosa in Savona, Teatro Sociale in Mantua, Teatro Sociale in Rovigo, Sala Verdi of the Conservatorio di musica ‘G. Verdi’ of Milan, Palacongressi of Stresa (VB), Royal Opera House of Muscat (Oman), King Fahad Cultural Centre of Riyad (Saudi Arabia), Ravello (SA) on the occasion of the Ravello Festival 2015, Regentenbau Bad Kissingen (Germany) on the occasion of the Kissinger Sommer Festival 2013 and in the Cava San Giovanni of Crevoladossola (VB) on the occasion of the festival Tones on the Stones 2014. In 2022, he played for Andrea Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico (PI) with the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra.
She performs concerts in various chamber ensembles throughout her home province and has been actively collaborating for many years with the Cappella Musicale del Sacro Monte Calvario in Domodossola.
